"In October 1956, Elvis went back to Dallas, Houston, Waco and San Antonio where he gave six shows that drew record crowds.
He returned to Memphis for a few days after his Texas tour. There, he got into a brawl with gas station attendants and, under the eyes of everybody in America, went to court the next day where the trial cleared him of all wrongdoing.
Then he flew to New York for his second appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show, a sweet revenge since this was the man who said earlier he would never book Elvis on his program.
Elvis ended the month shooting a new ending for 'Love Me Tender' and frolicking with Hollywood star Natalie Wood in his home town."

In einem Interview mit dem "Pink Cadillac"-Podcast teilte Angie Marchese (Vice President Of Archives & Exhibits At Graceland) mit, dass ein neues Buchprojekt in Planung ist.
"Graceland" arbeite derzeit an einem Buch über Elvis' Jumpsuits. Für dieses Projekt wurden buchstäblich alle ausgestellten Jumpsuits abgenommen, um sie zu fotografieren.
„Wir haben alle Outfits detailliert fotografiert, sodass man Nahaufnahmen ihres Designs und ihrer Herstellung sehen kann, wie zum Beispiel die Schmetterlinge und all die kleinen Details, die darauf zu finden sind. Einige Anzüge werden vorübergehend aus der Ausstellung „Rock In The Dress To Rock” entfernt, da im Herbst ein weiterer Film herauskommt und einige davon möglicherweise in diesem Film und auch in einer neuen Ausstellung in Graceland zu sehen sein werden.”

Das niederländische Elvis-Magazin "It´s Elvis Time" ist in seiner 311. Ausgabe in der Ankündigung und wird viele interessante Storys über Elvis, CD- und Buchbesprechungen bzw. Fotos beinhalten.

Am 13.07.2025 erschien das nächste Buch von Paul Belard, welches den Titel "Elvis 1958: June - Juli - August" trägt, 214 Seiten umfasst und mit folgenden Worten angekündigt wird:
"His basic training completed on Saturday May 31st, Elvis left Fort Hood early in the morning on his way to Memphis where he would spend a two-week leave. On June 10th, he went to Nashville for a recording session. It would be his last session for nearly two years.
After his return to Fort Hood, Elvis was allowed to live off base because one of his parents was classified as dependent. He rented a house in Killeen, a town close to Fort Hood.
On August 8th, Elvis' ailing mother was moved to the Methodist Hospital in Memphis. The 12th he was granted an emergency leave and flew to Memphis. His mother passed away on the 14th. The funeral took place the next day. On the 24th, a devastated Elvis returned to Fort Hood."
