Weiss jemand inwiefern dieser Song mit Elvis zu tun hat? Besonders Zeile 3 würde mich interessieren. The pretenders talking dirty in the palace. Kann da die Memphis Mafia gemeint sein?

Diese Frage habe ich in einem John-Denver-Forum auch schon gestellt, bin aber nicht weitergekommen. Vielleicht handelt es sich beim King auch um den echten - Martin Luther King, der ja in Memphis ermordet wurde.
