Paul Belard kündigt das 250 Seiten starke Buch "Elvis: The King Of The Rings - Volume 1" an und dieses wird wie folgt angekündigt:

"Elvis liked expensive things: cars, motorcycles, clothes, and jewelry. His jewels befitted a king. He wore sumptuous pendants hung on heavy gold chains; huge lavish rings dripping of rubies, sapphires, lapis lazuli, and emeralds; bracelets of gold and precious gems. Like Elvis himself, they were at times dazzlingly tasteful and things of beauty, and at other times flashy, ostentatious, in your face.

The singer Robert Goulet described Elvis’ penchant for generosity: “I remember once we sat together backstage for two hours. And he was a charming, delightful man. And at one point I said, “That’s a beautiful ring you have there.” He said, “You like it?” I said, “It’s beautiful!” He took it off his hand and put it on mine. He gave me his ring”.

Elvis’ penchant to give things away is sometimes difficult to understand, even taking in the fact that Elvis was not materialistic. When he was in Las Vegas, he saw a doctor whose name was Elias Ghanem. Elvis lavished upon him a $32,000 Stutz car, a Mercedes, watches, rings, including the one he wore in Aloha from Hawaii.

A list of the gifts to this individual comes to a staggering total more than fifty items. The value of the item was of no concern to Elvis. The horseshoe ring he wore in 'Aloha from Hawaii' eventually sold at auction in 2017 for $204,800."

Das von Horst Zimmermann (Mitautor der Bücher "The EP Records Guide", "Picture Sleeve Record Guide") stammende Buch "Elvis German EP´s Record Guide" erscheint, nach mehreren Verschiebungen, nun im Mai 2022. Die englische Version erscheint im Juli 2023.

Dieses wird in vier Bereiche unterteilt sein, welche den jeweiligen Titel "Wegweiser", "Teil 1 - die EPs", "Teil 2 - die “Army-EPs" und als letzter Bereich der Anhang "Singles (Wiederveröffentlichungen)" tragen.

Im "Wegweiser" werden die Unterschiede der Cover und Label beschrieben, erläutert und vollständig abgebildet.

Darüber hinaus enthält der "Wegweiser" eine Tabelle, die die Erscheinungsdaten der Cover und der Platten abbildet, so dass sich leicht erkennen lässt, ob eine Platte zu dem Cover gehören kann, in dem sie sich befindet.

Der "Teil 1 - die EPs" wird alle bis Redaktionsschluss bekannten EPs beinhalten. Für Deutschland sind das schon mal 46 EPs. Während in den U.S.A. die EPs chronologisch nach Nummernreihenfolge, beginnend 1956 mit der EPA-747, veröffentlicht wurden, ist bei den deutschen Ausgaben leider keine klare Reihenfolge zu erkennen. Als erste EP erschien z.B. 1956 die EPA-821 “Heartbreak Hotel“, dann die EPA-747, anschließend die EPA-9500, gefolgt von den beiden EPB-1254-1 und EPB-1254-2.

Es wird versucht, die Platten so authentisch wie möglich wiederzugeben und so abzubilden, wie sie seinerzeit im Handel verkauft wurden, das bedeutet, dass die Cover mit der jeweils dazugehörenden Platte gezeigt werden. Andere Kombinationen sind grundsätzlich nicht auszuschließen, sofern Erscheinungsjahr von Cover und Platte in etwa übereinstimmen. Weitere lagen für das Buch jedoch nicht vor. 

Der vorletzte "Teil 2 - die “Army-EPs" enthält etliche der 46 in Deutschland hergestellten Platten, welche aus den PX-Warenhäusern verkauft wurden.

Für die “Army-EPs“ wurde dieselbe Reihenfolge (und Nummerierung) gewählt, wie bei den EPs in Teil 1, auch wenn offenbar nicht alle EPs im PX erhältlich waren. Aber auch hier konnten nur alle berücksichtigt werden, die bis Redaktionsschluss bekannt waren. Dass darüber hinaus weitere EPs existieren, ist durchaus möglich.

Im Anhang "Singles (Wiederveröffentlichungen)" werden dann die Picture-Sleeves der Singles, die in den 70- / 80er Jahren wiederveröffentlicht wurden, abgebildet (“Devil-“, “Gospel-“ und “Jahres“-Cover) und detailreich erläutert.

In der Ankündigung befindet sich das 147 Seiten starke Buch "The First EP Of Elvis Presley Around The World". In diesem werden alle Erstausgaben der jeweils ersten EP von Elvis Presley aus der ganzen Welt beschrieben.

So sind u. a. die Erstauflagen aus Ländern wie USA, Kanada, Mexiko, Argentinien, Brasilien, Chile, Uruguay, Südafrika, Australien, Neuseeland, Iran, Israel bzw. Japan dabei. Darüber hinaus auch die verschiedenen EPA 747, EPB 1254, SPD 22, SPD 23 nebst entsprechenden Cover, Platten, Etiketten oder auch Zwischenhüllen.
