Das nächste Buch von Paul Belard wird die Fotobiographie "Elvis - June 1956", welche noch in diesem Jahr veröffentlicht werden soll. Ankündigung:
"The 1956 juggernaut is picking up strength during this month. Early in the month Elvis was in Oakland followed by his second appearance on the Milton Berle where his legendary rendition of “Hound Dog” delighted the fans, and enraged the critics. June 1956 also brought him to Wink Martindale’s 'Dance Party' show on WHBQTV.
On June 19, Elvis attended “colored night” celebrating Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration honoring the end of slavery in the United States, a black-only event in one of the most racially divided cities in America, which demonstrated his close affinity with African-Americans.
After a seven day tour the month culminated with a rehearsal for his appearance on the Steve Allen show, closing the month with a concert in Richmond."
