Elvis in den 70ern

Es wurde ja schon oft über Elvis LP Zusammenstellungen in den 70ern diskutiert .Ich wollte mal meine Zusammenstellung der LP´s und der Single Veröffentlichungen,so wie ich Sie veröffentlicht hätte, posten. Beginnen will ich dabei mit seinem Comeback Album 1969.

Ich glaube fast jeder von uns hat sich schon mal als Elvis-Produzent versucht. Die meisten von uns hätten es wahrscheinlich auch besser machen können . Auch ich habe schon aus Langeweile Elvis-LP`s zusammengestellt, dennoch ist es Zeitverschwendung hier Vorschläge zu machen, da es nicht mehr zu ändern ist!!! Bedenke jedoch das wir die Bewehgründe für einige Zusammenstellungen nicht kennen. Da gab es Vertragliche Gründe, z.B. die Anzahl der jährlich zu erscheinenden LP's. Da gab es vielleicht auch mal Elvis der einen bestimmten Song als Single wollte. Und natürlich der Manager dem sowieso nur das Geld zählte. Wären die LP's so erschienen wie du diese zusammengstellt hast, hätte ich auch gemeckert, weil Du einfach einige Songs weggelassen hast, die mir gefallen .

Welche denn?

Die LP "Love Letters", bzw. desses Songs fehlen komplett, war aber wahrscheinlich ein Versehen. Aber wo sind z.B. "Help me make it through the night", "Fools rush in", "(That's what you get)for lovin me" oder "Love song of the year", um nur einige zu nennen!!!

Die Love Letters hätte ich genauso wenig gebracht wie die Elvis Now und deshalb fielen manche Songs durch das Raster.

Mal ganz grob und ohne genaue Tracklisten bei den Zusammenstellungen, da eh jeder seine eigenen Lieblingsongs hat:

Von den 70er Live-Sachen empfinde ich die MSG heute als am überflüssigsten, im Zeitablauf war es natürlich die Memphis. Meinetwegen alles wie gehabt (74 eben komplett).

Weihnachtsalbum - naja, wenns da ist, dann halt raus damit.

Die liegengebliebenen Outtakes hätte man auf einer eigenen Billig-Serie verbraten können.

Aber eh alles müßig

Die Love Letters hätte ich genauso wenig gebracht wie die Elvis Now und deshalb fielen manche Songs durch das Raster.

Is witzig..."Love Letters" halte ich auch für das ödeste 70`s Album.

Kaum vorstellbar, dass diess Album erst "Festival" heissen sollte

Ein sehr reisserischer Titel für ein derart mageres Album.....

<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>(Obwohl möglicherweise gleich wieder jemand um die Ecke biegen könnte, der aus Prinzip mir nachweisen will, dass dieses aus "leftovers" zusammengschusterte Album in Wirklichkeit ein Konzeptalbum und in Wahrheit sensationell ist bzw-. die Essenz des Elvis Presley und überhaupt zu den Lieblingsalben desjenigen zählt </span> <span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>)</span>

Mein Coppi! Finde ich das schön, dass du daran gedacht hast. In den 70ern gab es ja so manche denk- bzw. fragwürdige und unpassende Entscheidung die VÖ von Elvis Musik betreffend. Das Auslassen einer Golden Records Vol. 5 zu diesem Zeitpunkt gehört für meine Begriffe mit ganz oben auf die Liste der liegen gelassenen Projekte.
