E 3 Album for Next Year

Meinst du "überhaupt" veröffentlicht? Oder dann als "offiziell"?

Denn die gibt's doch schon...

Nicht ganz. Die Live-Version kenne ich, und die gehört zusammen mit "Oh Happy Day" und "My Babe (von 1972)" zu den Liedern, von denen ich wohl ein Audience-Recording kenne, ich mir aber schon seit Jahren in meinen wildesten Fan-Fantasien zumindest eine Soundboard-Aufnahme herbei sehne.

Naja, und dann gab's da mal ein Interview mit Jorgensen, bei dem mich seine Antwort immerhin noch von einer Rehearsal-Version träumen lässt:

That’s a ’no comment’ situation. RCA doesn’t want me to comment on this. I don’t print stuff in my book without paper documentation, and I don’t say that these tapes exist and I don’t comment on how they sound. I think in general Elvis rehearsed at RCA before every Vegas engagement in the earlier years. If Elvis started a song and stopped it halfway through, it would be written on the list, even if they couldn’t play a decent version. Other paperwork suggests very clearly that arrangements were written for songs, but that may have been in anticipation, just an idea that Elvis had, ”We should do that”, or that Charlie or Felton thought that it would be a great idea, and Elvis said ”yes”, then when they were going to do it, he said ”no”. Because Elvis changed his mind a lot, even during shows. Suddenly, he’d just drop a song.

Ist das die Version von Portrait of my Love auf der No Fooling Around? Oder gibt da noch eine andere?? Ok, nochmals, obwohls eigentlich nicht hierhinein gehört: Gibt es eine bessere, bzw. andere Version von Portrait of my Love, ausser die Version von No Fooling around? Wenn ja, könnte dann nicht mal jemand ein Soundsample hier reinstellen? Macht mich nämlich extrem neugierig...
