The Memory label will release two new CDs in late June / early July. According to a private source one would be a show from Lake Tahoe in 1976 and the second one from March 1975 in Las Vegas. These two CDs will be from

We mentioned last week that the next two releases from the Memory label would be a show from Lake Tahoe in 1976 and another from March 1975. According to the French website " Elvis En Bourgogne " these two shows would be the April 30, 1976 midnight show in Lake Tahoe and March 27, 1975 midnight show in Las Vegas.

vielleicht bekommen wir ja hier soundboard-qualität...

Kaum anzunehmen, Marc. Mir ist noch nicht zu Ohren gekommen, dass irgendeine der Tahoe-76-Show auf Soundboard irgendwo mal aufgetaucht ist. Wahrscheinlich gibt's so etwas von diesem Engagement gar nicht. Wirklich schade.

Man wird bei Memory wohl wieder am Sound herum schrauben, bis es blechern genug klingt, einen langen Text dazu schreiben, was alles in Sachen Sound-Improvement getan wurde. Es wird sicher wieder wirklich exzellente Cover geben, wie wir es vom Czech label seit langem gewohnt sind und das war's dann wohl.

Sicherlich ist es für den ein oder anderen eine nette Sache sein, sich ein weiteres Konzert in mässiger Publikumsmitschnitt als echte CD mit feinem Cover und ordentlicher Tracklist in den Schrank stellen zu können, aber im Endeffekt ist es doch nur ein Geschäft. Heutzutage gibt es schon so viel, dass viele, viele noch nicht einmal mit mittelmäßigen Soundboardmitschnitten hinter dem Ofen hervor zu locken sind, so dass diese Neuankündigungen wohl nur noch den unverbesserlichen hardcore-Sammler interessieren dürften.

MEMORY records are back again with two pre-holiday releases. Both CDs are quality audience recordings, remastered to the best possible audio on state-of-the-art equipment in one of Prague's most renowned studios. The finishing touch is that both are beautifully packaged with many rare pics, and interesting liner-notes and backgrounds about the concerts and the bonus-tracks.

The concerts on these two releases "Slippin & Slidin' with Elvis" - Lake Tahoe, NV. April 30, 1976 m/s and "Aztec King" - Las Vegas, NV. March 27, 1975 m/s are complete shows.

This time we decided to go for two very diffrent shows, showing Elvis in different moods. While on "Aztec King" is Elvis is in fine shape - both physically and mentally - and gives a superb performance, in Lake Tahoe it's clear that not all is well. Elvis stops and restarts several songs, blaming it on the soundsystem. And yet, he has the audience eating out of his hand right from the start, and this in turn inspires him to do a good job on songs like "Steamroller Blues" and "Trying To Get To You". This show is far from his best, but somehow this recording makes for fascinating listening. It's a remarkable "document humain", in that it provides us with a rare glimpse of the man behind the legend. To "spice up" both CD's a bit, we added a generous dose of rare live songs to both CD's, including "Such A Night", "You Can Have Her", "Loving You", "(Until The Day) God Calls Me Home", "Young And Beautiful", "Raised On Rock", "You'll Never Walk Alone" and "Memphis Tennessee". All these tracks are sourced from newly-obtained tapes, and now sound better than ever.

also kein soundboard. mal sehen wie gut sie die audience dinger wirklich überarbeitet haben - wenn man den worten glauben schenken darf, unterscheiden sie sich kaum noch von nem soundboard

aloha friends and folks, ich bin gerade beim surfen auf diese, für mich bis dato unbekannte info gestossen, wie im bereff schon geschrieben, würde ich gerne erfahren wollen, ob diese veröffentlichung ein soundboard ist?

ich liebe nämlich lake tahoe sachen, gibt es in profesioneller quali ja leider viel zu wenig von...
(lake tahoe 1971... darf ich träumen, ja? )
