Hier die Ankündigung von Todd Slaugter:
"The book is a text of 30,000 words, and around 150 photographs generally of Elvis Presley with various celebrities. The target market is the general public and aims to show that Elvis was not the recluse as often reported. The text is a straight historical biography, without comment or rumour."
Bei Katco Media erschien am 17.08.2004 das Buch "The King Is Dead..." mit neuem Cover. Das Buch stammt von Robert R. Holton, erschien erstmals 1998 und ist limitiert.
Und hier die Ankündigung vom Verlag:
"'The King Is Dead' by Robert Holton details the minute-by-minute play of the Funeral of Elvis Aaron Presley.
Memphis Funeral Director Robert Kendall was the last man on the face of the Earth to see the body of Elvis Aaron Presley following his sudden and unexpected death in August 1977. Now, for the first time, you will read about the intimate details of the burial of Elvis Presley and what Kendall went through to pay the final tribute to Elvis.
Some have accused Holton and Katco of presenting a morbid and disturbing tale of history's most famous funeral. But, these critics have obviously never read this book. 'The King Is Dead' is NEVER disturbing; NEVER mobid. Instead, it is a touching, heart-warming story of how the world said goodbye to a rock and roll legend."
