Hi Taniolo a new scoop for you:

Memory Records strikes again with two great new releases for the true Elvis fan:

CHARLESTON ROCKS contains a soundboard recording of his July 24th, 1976 evening show in Charleston, W.V. Elvis is in fine voice and good spirits, and delights his audience with good versions of a.o. 'Love Letters', 'Hurt' & 'And I Love You So'. This show was first released about 12 years ago in poor sound on a As you've come to expect from us, this release is packaged beautifully, with rare photos and detailed notes.

LAST TIME IN PORTLAND completes the trilogy that was started years ago with the import LP's "One Night In Portland" and "Back In Portland", and contains a good audience recording of his November 26th, 1976 show. This exciting CD is superbly packaged with great photos courtesy of Bob Heis.

Order them today from: epfc@iol.cz

 Also die Cover sehen schon mal prima aus. Würde mich jetzt brennend interessieren, ob das Charleston-Konzert in besserer Quali als damals auf der CD "Hurt" erscheint.

@Andylon: Do you have an idea if the sound on the cd that features the Charleston concert is in a better condition than we had it on the cd "Hurt" years ago?

Ich habe gerade nachgeschaut: Elvis trug in Portland tatsächlich den Inca Gold Leaf. Das Cover stimmt!

Hier übrigens das Programm aus Portland:

Portland, Oegon - November 26th 1976

2001 Theme, See SeeRider, I Got A Woman (false start)/Amen, Love Me, If You Love Me Let Me Know, You Gave Me A Mountain, Jailhouse Rock, It's Now Or Never, All Shook Up, Teddy Bear/Don't Be Cruel, And I Love You So, Fever, America, Introductions / Early Morning Rain / What'd I Say / Johnny B. Goode / Love Letters / Hail, Hail Rock'n'Roll, Hurt, Hound Dog, Danny Boy / Walk With Me (S Nielson), Funny How Times Slip Away, Hawaiian Wedding Song, Blue Christmas, That's All Right, Can't Help Falling In Love

ca. 80 Minuten

Und soweit ich mich erinnern kann, ist der Sound nicht schlecht.

Hi Taniolo,

1st of all I do not know how to publish the scans of the covers on your site.
I am still stupid with this... but I am learning...lol

Anyway, the rate for the Hurt : I give a 2 and with the wrong date and the rot on that cd, I think this will be a winner for all die hard fans.

As you know I gave the Milwaukee show to Pavel.. that one I give IMO a rate of 5...
Altough my master tape I remixed is much better.
Don't know whar Pavel did with the sound.. sad...
If you want I send you my master tape mix.. only for your private collection Taniolo...
You know I trust you...lol

This one of Charlston I give a 7.
Hope this is clear, Taniolo.

Have a great weekend,
Your Friend,

Andylon.

Wow! That's a great news, Andylon!
Now I'm really curious to hear it.
Thanks a lot!

Btw. yes I heard about the story of your better sounding source of Milwaukee and that it could have been released in a significant better sound. Maybe one day ...

first, i´d like to thank you, andylon, for sharing these interesting collector´s news with us.
i felt a little bit bewildered and dazzled, about the openminded way you discuss such issues on a public board, since we don´t talk about legal products (and you even mention names), do we? don´t you even think about, that some of it´s readers may cause you troubles?
my suspicion is, that your carelessness could have something to do with the legislation or the legal situation in the czech republic. anyway, maybe such issues should rather be discussed via private mail than on board, if you want, feel free to do so!

anyway, the titel of the first release surely i s an on-board-topic (and i really like the cover-art of the first one, by the way).
"charleston rocks" - does it really? i doubt it.
since i don´t have the show in my collection, i have to rely on information sources i got online.
but everywhere i read about the "hurt"-album, critics said, there was no rockin´, there was no rollin´ and no smokin´ at all. they all state, el´ sounds sick and tired and it´s one of his poorest performances available.
so i suppose, another album-titel had been much more suitable. what do you think about it?
